Overview
Manufacturing Processes
The need to be environmentally responsible guides everything we do and is demonstrated in our new LEAN manufacturing techniques which help eliminate waste.
Bison constantly work to improve operating methods and minimise their environmental impact, supporting LEAN activities with other programmes designed to improve the use of energy and natural resources. Sustainability requirements and the need to safeguard our future environment was at the forefront of the design process of the Swadlincote factory including the use of rainwater harvesting.
Bison Manufacturing Ltd complies with all government, local and environmental legislation within best practise guidelines.
Products
Bison products combine a minimal environmental impact during their manufacture with a significant contribution towards the energy efficiency of the buildings they create. The high thermal mass characteristics of our concrete products allows them to operate as an active Fabric Energy Storage method reducing air conditioning and heating requirements thus helping to significantly cut a building’s carbon emissions Our solutions for sound attenuation in multiple occupancy buildings also help achieve Part E Building Regulation requirements.
Further information on how the use of Bison products can be incorporated into projects to maximise their environmental use can be obtained from our Technical Department.
